Meet Al Lanteinge from Makers on Enfield. Alain is a retired employee of GM Motors and is now an experienced woodworker of 40 years. He is exceptionally passionate about his work and prides himself on the quality and finish of each and every product.

Al specializes in flat work as well as wood turnings on the lathe. He creates a large variety of items including boards, trays, salt and pepper mills, clocks and many more. While the finished product is imperative, his process is just as important and it begins with materials. 80% of the wood purchased and used is urban salvaged while the rest is purchased locally. This means that the majority of his materials are sourced from trees removed from the city due to construction or demolition and are therefore not going to waste.
